Re-visioning mission: the Catholic Church and culture in postmodern America

The mission of the Catholic Church from the United States has suffered a certain crisis of meaning for many years now. The former Pontiff, John Paul II, wrote the last major encyclical on mission, Redeeming Mission, partly in answer to false assertions that perhaps this mission is not as vital or as necessary as we think. This particular book gives an interesting attempt at looking at this whole issue. The title, Revisioning Mission, is indeed th task of mission awareness in the USA.
