Help the Victims of Typhoon Ondoy in the Philippines
Posted On October 2, 2009
The Xaverian Missionaries have worked since 1989 in the Philippines. The center of the great disaster of Typhoon Ondoy in the last days of September laid waste in the highly populated areas of Metro Manila where we work in Quezon City. There we run two parishes; St. Francis Xavier Parish in Maligaya, Novaliches and Our Lady of Guadalupe in Marakina. We also attend to the pastoral needs of a slum area call Sitio Militar. In addition we have two seminaries and a Justice and Peace Desk. We are asking for prayers and donations for the people of the Philippines during these most trying times.
You may help through our administration in the USA that holds accounts for our centers in the Philippines. There we are providing assistance locally in the Philippines.
