Xaverian Missionary Martyrs

Fr. Ottorino Maule (53 years old), Fr. Aldo Marchiol (65), and Ms. Catina Gubert (75) were killed in the mission house with one gunshot in the head each. The three missionaries who had worked many years in Burundi, were ordered to kneel down and then were executed. These missionaries received threats many times by the government army, for speaking on behalf of local people, and for the way army officers reported the killings in Burundi. They were killed September 30, 1995. We remember the 17th anniversary of their martyrdom. They are a symbol of faith and courage for us all. Feel free to share  your prayers, thoughts and comments.
